The Eastern Ontario DAC team updates their Community Profiles with current results at every EDI Implementation Cycle.
Using the ecological model as a framework, the Community Profiles provide an easy-to-read storyboard of indicators related to the status and living conditions of children and their families. Each local profile includes a legend and description of compiled indicators, a road map, local and regional Census data, Early Development Instrument trends, as well as local data provided by the municipality and some of its services.
These Profiles are intended to provide parents, professionals, and the general public with a snapshot of factors that contribute to early childhood developmental outcomes. They also provide Communities and various Early Years Networks with the opportunity to identify local strengths, risks, and vulnerabilities at-a-glance, and compare these across the Eastern Region. The Eastern Ontario DAC team has recently updated their Community Profiles. These are available for the Ottawa Region; the Counties of Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke; Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry & Cornwall; and Prescott and Russell.
